1. Skater must be a USFSA: Westland Figure Skating Club 1st Club member.
2. You must represent Westland in a minimum of 2 (TWO) F/S, Pair, or Dance competitions between the end of the 2003 Ice Show and April 1, 2004. Competing on a team does not count.
3. For pairs or dance couples, one member must be a USFSA Westland 1st club member and the other must hold a Westland 2nd club membership. As a pair they must represent Westland in a minimum of 2 (TWO) competitions between the end of the 2003 Ice Show and April 1, 2004.
4. You must be registered for and skate a minimum of 2 (TWO) Freestyles for at least 2 out the 3 skating sessions at Westland. Hours skated on a team do not count.
5. You must be registered for and skate a minimum of 2 (TWO) non-team group numbers in the Ice Show.
6. BY THE DAY OF TRYOUTS - You must have passed ISI Freestyle 4 and/or must be competing USFSA pre-preliminary or higher. (NOTE: You must be competing at pre-preliminary, NOT just passed the test)
7. You will be responsible to provide your own costume for the show. It must have the show director’s approval by December 8, 2003
8. Skaters will be given a 2-minute warm up.
9. Parents will not be allowed to watch solo tryouts.
10. Skaters will be judged on showmanship, creativity, and music interpretation.
11. Solos, group solos, and pairs will be awarded from among the highest scores. Trying out does not guarantee a solo, pair, feature or group solo.
12. The show’s Director will arrange the solos, group solos, features, and pairs according to what is needed in the show. Any skater who is placed in a pair or group solo is expected to cooperate and get along with their partners.
13. You may only try out once, either as an individual, dance or pair.
14. You must exercise good sportsmanship.
16. If a skater does not meet these requirements or fails to continue to meet these requirements, they can have their solo taken away.
