Check Policy

The WFSC Board has adopted a new check writing policy, effective July 1, 2003. It reads as follows:

Anyone bouncing two checks within a twelve-month period will be required to pay all monies due the club by either cash, money order or cashiers check for the following eighteen months. Any fees incurred by the club for bounced checks are passed on as well. A letter is given by the Treasurer stating the effective dates and must be signed. A copy of the letter is kept on file.

ANNUAL Welcome back HAYRIDE

Each year the club plans a welcome back Hayride. All skaters and families are encouraged to attend. It is a great way to get to know each other and make new friends. All skaters, family and friends are welcome to attend. The club provides soda, hot cocoa, and marshmallows for the bonfire, along with hot dogs and condiments. Everyone brings a dish to pass. When the board of governors approves annual details, information is then posted on the club board. Event is usually held during October. There is a minimal fee per person. Petting farm, Hayride, horse back riding, bonfire and more!

Warning: The last wagon of the hayride is the wild wagon. Always returns with NO HAY! Ride at your own risk! If you do not want to be rowdy, and throw tons of hay in a crazy fashion, ride in the wagon closest to the tractor! Wagon closest to the tractor is a NO THROWING wagon! Recommend for the little ones and parents!

Membership/Volunteering:

There are different types of membership for the club. USFSA and General Membership sums it up. Each membership type has a 4-hour per family volunteer requirement. This requirement is met at the USFSA competition hosted by the club in November, at the ISI competition hosted by the arena and supported by the club during the month of January/February or at test sessions. This requirement is to be met before 3/1/05. If you do not meet the requirement, there is a $50 fee. There is also a 4 hour per family requirement to be met for those participating in the ice show and carry the “General” membership type. This requirement is met during the preparation, during the show, or during the tear down of the show. Details are on the club membership application form. All skaters participating in club events must have, at a minimum, “general” membership for insurance purposes. Chairperson for membership: Karen Browning
